I began my journey as an artist at the age of 12 when I found a "Simple Wire Wrapped Ring" YouTube video during my recovery period for a spinal fusion. It was a way for me to channel my creativity in a positive way without hindering my recovery process.

After several years of wire wrapping I began incorporating metalsmithed pieces into my work. I want to create pieces that display my inner thoughts, which is why collections in 2022 will be an outward expression of every piece of jewelry I've ever wanted to wear personally.

Barbara is my middle name, taken after my grandmother, who overcame several adversities raising 7 children and a single mother. Although I have never met her, her strength passes through me and my artistry.
